They had a small house that was almost a shack with two beds, a small fridge, and a closet for the little clothes they had. Poppy's mother is an assistant baker, while her dad works in the coal mines. Poppy's father taught her how to read, sing, and shoot a bow and arrow when Poppy was little. They still sneack out to the woods sometimes to catch a little food to survive off of.
