When she was seven she had to go without food for a week because she had given it all to siblings or she had not been given any at all. Her parents eventually began making more and more. Eventually they could afford better possessions and more food. When she was chosen to participate in the Hunger Games, her parents bid her farewell without a thought towards the safety of their child. They let her leave without shedding a tear. Catriona was never cared for much, and she anticipates never will be. Until the guy she loved volunteered for her and died to save her life. She made up her mind then that no one in the world cared for her, and she'd have to live with it.
