Kathryn was born into a small family of two. Her mother, Kara, and her father, Benjamin. She was raised through a wealthy life in One. Her parents both had jobs, leaving her alone at the house every week day. When they began coming home to find their daughter tearing off the heads of her dolls, they put her into training.
It was a natural reflex for Kat to throw a knife, and by the age of ten she could throw as well as her teenage training companions. Being ten brought on other things, as well. She noticed her parents often fighting, only to lead to her mother announcing a divorce. This burdened Kathryn, and all she could do was focus more in training, school.
Weeks later her father went "missing" and was never found. That brought along a darker time in the eleven-year-old's life. She began not only cutting her dolls, but herself. Several more negative affects came along, including her beginning to drink at the age of fourteen, and shutting out her mother and friends.
At fifteen - when her mother thought she could handle it - Kathryn was told that her father had cheated on and beat her mother, causing the marriage to unfurl, and she had a new mom. At first Kat was confused, but figured out that Kara was in a relationship with a woman named Haley, who later moved in with the Sonyxs'. The thought of being beaten horrified Kathryn, and imagining her sweet father bullying her innocent mother only made it worse. Men soon began to seem less appealing to her.
Following the introduction to her mothers sexuality, Kathryn began to think about her own. She certainly wasn't repulsed by the thought of it, and after talking with her mother and experimenting with her friends she realized that she, too, was bisexual.
She remains now in One at the age of sixteen. Drinking, sexuality, and training consume her life. School doesn't really bother her, but she doesn't try in her academics. Her mother doesn't care what she does as long as its legal, (which it often isn't) and shows rare interest in her life.
