Jade was born four years older than her sister. She has no memory of her father who disappeared when she was four years old. Her mother was a very kind and gentle person. Everyone in District one loved her. Many men tried to win her favor but her heart had bean broken and she wanted nothing to do with men any more. She was kind and sweet but always turned them away telling them she was happy with just her and her kids. Jade looks just like her mother.
What no one knew not even Jade was that her mother was against the Hunger Games. She was plotting in secret with others to find a way to stop it. One day when Jade went out with her friends her house went up in flames. Her mother was in there and she believed her sister was killed as well. But in fact she was taken and moved to another district to be raised. The peacekeepers though Jade was also plotting to stop them Hunger Games. But they didn't want to kill her they wanted to make her suffer.
Though Jade is still filthy rich and has moved into a new house she is not the cheerful girl she used to be. Losing her only family broke her heart. If she wasn't against the Hunger Games than she will be if she ever finds out her sister is indeed alive and in District 12.
