DISTRICT 7 REAPINGS
Sadie Casting searched the crowd as she trotted onto the stage, her heels overly high and her black hair perfectly overdone. Long sleeves and tight skirts were just marvelous for Sadie on this wintry day in District 7. Only a smirk crossed her face as she patted the microphone, creating a loud puffy sound throughout the square. Sadie licked her lips before clearing her throat and greeting her district.
“Welcome and Happy Hunger Games! This is very exciting. Am I wrong?” A few coughs and mumbles were heard from the sorted people of 7. Sadie blinked and tilted her head forward so that the length of her hair could be seen by the cameras. It was just the right angle for her, especially on camera. “Alright then! No time to waste perhaps. The time is now, that we will pick one young man and one young woman to participate in this years Annual Hunger Games. May the odds be ever in your favor. Let's have the men be first.”
Sadie's smile only slightly faded as she dug her hand into the glass bowl, stirring up the slips that filled it until she took one between her fingers. With an eyebrow raised, the escort spoke clearly into the microphone.
“TBD.”
Sadie smiled and took a deep sigh before picking from the females bowl. Stirring up the slips and choosing one slip to fill the space between her fingers, Sadie walked quickly over to the stand once more. She unfolded the slip in her hands and spoke loud and clear.
“Rayne Winters.”
