THE HALL OF JUSTICE Peacekeepers lead the new District 2 tributes into their own designated rooms in the Justice Building. Their feet march in unison and open the double doors to the lonely room for the girl, Sara James. They let in her family and announce, "You have three minutes."
The other Peacekeepers lead the new male tribute to another room and let in his mother, announcing the exact same. "You have three minutes." They shut the double doors boorishly and wait outside, counting down the seconds for the next visitor.

Sara didn't know what to do. She was scared and half excited at the same time. She just hoped that she woudl be able to do enough in the hunger games to make it to the final four. What if she couldn't do it...what if she couldn't survive. There was always this possibity.
She had been with Carta for a while and he had been home for the past month from the academy. Her father was being cut back on hours for work and that ment less money was coming home to help them. to keep them alive, and that wasn't a good thing.
Sara sighed as she sat down on a chair nervously as she saw her father come in with her sister and her brothers. She hugged all of them and she had wished they wouldn't worry so muchwas in the games. But these were her family. You cant break up that type of bond with a family.
She told her father that she would try everything that she had practiced to survive. But there was even a chance, she might not out of this. She heard from carta that they might be trying something knew this year. Two victors. So that meant that she had to just survive to the final two and that would be over. She woudl be able to return home to Carta and her family.
She then turned as she heard the three minutes were up. "That quick..."She puased as she saw them leave.SHe stopped as she saw the door open again. Carta."Carta"She said as fear started to show through her voice.
(maybe we could have him assigned to the escort just for the train there ?)(since he is supposed to get expeing transporting importanteople afterall lol?_)

Carta Granite Mayson I was furious with myself. How could I be so foolishly selfish? When Sara James' name was called, my first impulse was to volunteer, there was no way I would let one of the joys of my life be sucked away from me. Not like this. Not this soon.
Yet, something held me back. What was it? Fear? Cowardice? Selfishness? I'm not sure. But by the time the moment to volunteer had passed, I understood full well what was going to happen to her. My strong girl, with passion and the most beautiful laugh a boy had the joy to hear.
I felt my world tumbling down without my say.
Only, I didn't have much time to dwell, as I watched Sara James get escorted into the Justice Building. I punched the nearest wall in frustration. The guys around me gave me sympathetic looks, knowing all too well what I had just done. I'd never felt so shocked in my life. There's only one thing I could do now, go to her. I went straight for the Justice Building, surrounded by Peacekeepers of course, only stopping to hug my family on the way. I looked my dad in the eye,
“I – I can't believe-” I said angerily shaken then interrupted by my father, “Go. Talk to her. Be to her what she would have been to you in this situation.” He spoke in his deep voice. I nodded and took off. I arrived at the Justice Building immediately. I stood before the door to her holding room where a Peacekeeper informed me I only had three minutes with her. Three minutes? Not nearly enough time. I could do this, and most of all, I know she could do it. My Sara James' would show the Capitol the metal she was made of. I wrenched open the door to her room. She said my name, and I almost crumbled. I did nothing, but open my arms to her.

Sara looked at Carta as she hugged him. She heard the peacekeeper next to them say that Carta was going to be getting some expereince in trasporting. She heard he would be escorting her and the other triubute along till the trainstation. She saw the door close. They had a longer amount of time and she looked at him, "In some..In some ways im glad your a peacekeeper in training"She said as she leaned in on his chest as she was scared. Really scared inside. But all the training, she knew she was ready, but she didn't want to face it.
Sitting with him she looked at him. "I know...when you were gone , i only had the one entry this year..But whiel you were gone father wasn't getting enough hours at work, and I couldn't really rely on your family to digg a family of 5 out of the hole or at least or what was for a while. I ...I took 20 tessers out on myself for the time we were able to get through when father got his full hours again things were same as usual"She said as she looked down as they were now sitting on the chair and she just leaned in. Her world was falling appart at the seams.

Carta Granite Mayson I stroked Sara's hair and tucked a stray piece behind her ear. “Oh Sara...20 tessreas?” I couldn't believe my ears, in the short time I was off training, Sara had sacrificed herself already for her family. The odds had not been in her favor. I glanced at the clock on the wall, we only two minutes left. After four years with this fierce girl, I now only had two minutes before I might never see her again. I took her face in my hands, looked directly into her blue eyes and spoke urgently and intensely,
“Sara listen to me, you can do this. If there is one girl in this whole District who can win this thing, it's you. You have what it takes, show them what you can do. You can track, you can fight.” He gripped her tighter, not wanting to let go. “You are a Career. The other Tributes won't stand a chance and sponsors will clamor for you.” Emotion cracked his voice.

The two of us are moved to the Justice Building by a group of Peacekeepers cameras right behind. I look at the fellow career to my right. I begin to think of the possibilities of a career pack this year. The possibilities of my chances. The odds have to be in my favor. I look ahead as my mind wanders off. I slightly shake my mind of the horrible last memories of my younger sister. I have to win. For both of us. This is my chance.
We enter the building and I am taken to a separate room. I sit on the couch, mind spinning. The games are going to be some ride. My mother slips in first. She slowly walks up to me, obviously trying to hold in her emotions. She softly takes the seat next to me and stiffly places her hand on mine. I finally look up at her as her eyes start to water once again. I wrap my arms around my mother as she hugs me tight. She says between her loud sobs, "I'm sorry.... no.... sorry... I tired!... but..."
"I know. It's alright."
She looks straight at me with a serious expression I had never seen before."You didn't-"
"I have to," I say as she takes face in her hands.
"But we are-"
I move my head away. "No! It's too late now, you see? I want to. I need to. I have to do this! For Charlotte."
"Shane, you can't-"
"There's nothing more for me here! There never was. Not anymore." She stares at me a moment. A sad expression crosses her face and she quickly looks away. I take my mother's hand, forcing her to look at me. "I can."
"Yes," she kisses my cheek, "Make me proud."
In attempt to ease the tension I force a smile and say, "When have I not?"
We hold hands until the time is up. I feel my mother's hand slip away slowly. I belive I could get far. District 2 have always gone far. My skills and specialties will benefit no matter what the arena could be. Before my mother leaves she looks at me once more, we both exchange a nod.
