THE HALL OF JUSTICE Peacekeepers lead the new District 4 tributes into their own designated rooms in the Justice Building. Their feet march in unison and open the double doors to the lonely room for the girl, Aster Skylin. They let in her first visitor and announce, "You have three minutes."
The other Peacekeepers lead the new male tribute to another room, announcing the exact same. "You have three minutes." They shut the double doors boorishly and wait outside, counting down the seconds for the next visitor. [/size]

Aster glared at the Peacekeepers that were shoving her into the room. She broke her arm away from the man, practically spitting at him.
Her mother and sister, Hazel, rushed in, going straight for a hug. Aster gripped them both tightly within her arms, eyes burning with the threat of tears. She was just glad her sister didn't get reaped. She was only 14.
"I'm so sorry," her mother said, tears springing to her eyes. "You'll do well, though. You'll win. I just know it." Aster nodded. "I'll win. I have to." She turned to Hazel. "I'll win for the both of you." Hazel was already sobbing and hiccuping. She wrapped her arms around her little sister, pressing her forehead to the top of her chocolate brown hair. "Everything will be okay. I promise. I don't break promises, especially to you and Mom."
Hazel nodded, finally managing to speak through her hiccups. "You're strong, and fast, and can climb and stuff. And you're good with spears and tridents. Just...don't be stupid." Both girls gave a tearful smile at this.
Aster ruffled her hair, then gave her a tight hug. "I love you. I'll see you soon." "I love you too," Hazel replied.
She then turned back to her mom. "I love you, mom." Her mother grabbed her in a bear hug, saying, "I love you too. And I know you can do this, Aster. Stay strong."
