THE HALL OF JUSTICE Peacekeepers lead the new District 3 tributes into their own designated rooms in the Justice Building. Their feet march in unison and open the double doors to the lonely room for the girl, Kairi Valencia. They let in her first visitor and announce, "You have three minutes."
The other Peacekeepers lead the new male tribute to another room, announcing the exact same. "You have three minutes." They shut the double doors boorishly and wait outside, counting down the seconds for the next visitor. [/size] |

Spark entered the room and heard the doors shut behind him. He sat in a plush chair. I can't believe it. Why me? The thought of never seeing his dad's face again did not sit well at all. He sat there waiting even though he knew not even his mother would come.
But just then, of all people to walk in, his mother entered the room. She embraced him in a tight hug. Spark could feel her tears dripping down the back of his neck.
"Mom.." Spark muttered softly.
She eased off of him and gripped his shoulders. "I can't tell you how proud I am of you. I'm so sorry for everything." She then hugged him tightly again and just like that the peacekeepers were escorting her away.
Before the door closed Spark shouted, "I love you too mom."
