Taylor intertwined his fingers with hers. "I'll pay this time. I think that's fair." He smiled at her and looked ahead as they approached the parlor. He opened the door for her then stepped inside. The place looked exactly the same as it did 5 years ago. The bright floors, the striped turning chairs at an ice cream bar. They walked over to the counter to search for the flavor of the night. There were so many and even more than his last visit. He glanced at Jade and said quietly, "What are you getting?"

"ok" Jade said "fair enough" They walked in and the colors almost blinded Jade. Passing all the ice cream was amazing. They probably had over a 100 flavors to pick from. "I'm thinking of getting the lemon swirl. What about you" She whispered back. Her eyes Finally adjusted to the extremely bright floor.

Taylor whispered back, "I don't know." He laughed a bit and kept looking at the various flavors. He passed a few and stopped when he spotted chocolate marshmallow. Taylor hands down knew that was it. "Chocolate marshmallow." He said back to Jade. The employee came up behind the large glass separating them from the ice cream and the employee. "What can I get you two today?" She asked. She looked like she'd come straight from the Capitol with her sparkling tattoos beside her eyes and wicked hairstyle.

The girl that wanted our order freaked out Jade. "You order it" Jade said "She freaks me out" That girl gave her chills. Right now Jade just wanted to get out of here she was scared that something bad was going to happen. The look in that women's eyes were deathly.

Taylor couldn't stop staring at the lady. She was definitely from the Capitol. He started to wonder how she got in this position. "We'll get a lemon swirl and chocolate marshmallow." She nodded her head smiling sharply at us.

They waited patiently for there ice cream when the girl finally came back with there ice cream. Taylor's ice cream looked fine but Jade's looked off. She couldn't quite tell why though it was just... weird looking. She didn't know wether she should eat it or not. But before to much thinking she nibbled it a bit and so far it tasted fine. So she continued eating it but when she got closer to the middle of the ice cream something was wrong. She took a bit and then suddenly she tasted blood. Something sharp was put in the ice cream. She started to panic and as quickly as she could spit it out. In the pile of spit and blood there was something that resembled to a razor blade. Her mouth was full of blood now and it tasted really disgusting. That girl had put a razor blade in her ice cream...

Taylor picked up the blade and frowned disgustedly. "What the-" He looked over at the freaky lady and snarled. None of this made any sense. He turned to Jade whose mouth was full of blood now. He grabbed a couple napkins and had her dab it to her mouth. Taylor wondered how badly she'd been cut. He stood with Jade and told her to go to the bathroom to check it out.
Taylor, with the blade in his hand went over to the lady at the counter. "What is this?" She just raised her eyebrows at him. "Why? You know you could lose your job very quickly now."
"She needs a plastic surgeon I was just helping her get started."
"No. And now I understand no one wants you back in the Capitol." Taylor said firmly as he set the blade on the counter. The lady squealed and didn't dare pick it up. H turned away from her and went to knock on the girl's bathroom door. "How is it?"

Jade went to the girl's washroom to inspect her cut. It wasn't bleeding anymore but you could clearly see the cut on her tongue. She was furious but confused at the same time. Jade hadn't done anything to that women to deserve this.
She heard a knock on the door and a guys voice that Jade was positive was Taylor asked how is it. Jade rinsed her mouth one more time that spat out the rest of the blood. distgusting she thought. She headed to the door and opened it sure enough it in front of the door stood Taylor. "It's ok, It stopped bleeding but you can clearly see the mark on my tongue." Said Jade.

Taylor winced. He wasn't sure what could help a cut on a tongue. "I'm sorry... I talked to her, she has problems. She's a capitol for sure," he said quietly. It still made no sense. Taylor searched Jade's eyes and took her hand and reassuringly said, "Come on."

Taylor gave Jade a reassuring look. Jade looked back into his eyes trying to tell him not to worry. They walked out the shop and Jade turned around one last time to see that horrible lady face. The night breeze hit her face making her shiver. She wrapped her arms around Taylor.

Jade wrapped her arms around around Taylor. He instinctively put his arms around her, he was barely ever cold. The warmth from his body radiated to her. He smiled at her and said, "Where to now?"

"I don't know" Said Jade. "how about we go to my house and just hang out?" Jade asked Taylor. She didn't feel like going anywhere right now she just wanted to go home where it was all cozy and warm. She could see Taylor smiling in the dark then he replied...

Taylor smiled at her in the darkness. There were lights but they flickered on and off at night sometimes. The mayor didn't like to complain much about it to the president knowing another district would pay. "Alright." They began walking back to Jade's huge house. Taylor didn't have to be home at any specific time. His mother would be fine. It made him laugh a bit at the fact that he had to worry about his mother more than his little sister.

His laugh made her smile. They entered her house in silence. She took of her coat then placed it in the closet. "So what do you want to do" Jade asked him. "We could.... watch a movie. We could.... ummm I don't know" She said then giggled. She got out some soda and placed them on the counter.

Taylor walked over to the counter and leaned against it. He opened the can of soda, hearing the pop and sizzle. He took a sip and watched Jade move around the kitchen. "Doesn't matter to me. Anything's fine." He thought a moment. "Where's your parents? Hidden somewhere in this mansion," he said jokingly and smiled before taking a sip.
